Our Team:

We believe that our amazing team is what sets us apart and makes our setting special. We are fortunate that we have always had a very low turnover of staff with several, including the Nursery Manager, being employed from the very beginning and many more with 10 years plus service. This helps to ensure continuity of care and a consistent approach.  A relaxed and happy team are able to give of their best and ensure that the children in our care are able to thrive.  Happy staff = happy children!

We currently have 27 employees who all have satisfactory DBS checks. All our staff are qualified to at least Level 3 in Childcare with 5 having completed their Level 5 Diploma in Childcare Leadership. The only exceptions are our 2 Nursery Cooks, one of which has a Level 2 Childcare Qualification and the other who is working towards her Level 2.

Every member of staff is trained in Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection (Safeguarding) and Food Hygiene. Many have also received training in Behaviour Management, Special Educational Needs and Autism Awareness.

We adhere to CIW’s staff to child ratios as follows:
• 0-2 years : 1 member of staff to 3 children
• 2-3 years : 1 member of staff to 4 children
• 3-5 years : 1 member of staff to 8 children
